Every other week our two AVID classes consisting of 7th and 8th grade students have a presentation from an outside community source who shares their career path with our students.  Today PS DuPont Middle School AVID class arranged for Tywanda Howie from United Way to come speak to our students about college readiness and her career path which lead her to working at United Way in the  Marketing Department.  As you can see below she wears many hats in her profession.  The students were engaged and enjoy the presentation.  I have included a photo of our students and Ms. Howie.  I thought this might something to share.
