ABOUT ME

Education:   BS in Business Education - University of Delaware

                           Master of Instruction - University of Delaware

Experience:  I started teaching in 1978 in a small coal mining community in Southwest Virginia.  My career also took me to Tennessee, Northern Virginia, and then back to my hometown of Wilmington, Delaware.  I taught 8th Grade and 6th Grade curriculum at Springer Middle School for the past sixteen years and was recently reassigned to PS DuPont, home of the Panthers!!   My total experience teaching Business Education and sponsoring both BPA and Yearbook spans over  thirty-five years.

Teaching Philosophy:  I believe that if students are given the opportunity to build a community within the classroom and to truly feel as if their teacher cares about them as an individual, they will rise to any occasion.  Students should always come first!

Personal Interests:   I have many personal interests, but spending time with my children and my family, exercising, gardening, yoga, and watching classic movies are at the top of my list.  I love bird houses in my yard and candles in every room of my house!!
