Our vision is to create a 6-8 middle school that is highly regarded for its academic excellence, diversity, innovation, and for its contribution in actively serving and improving the community in which it operates.

Mission Statement
Our school strives to be a place of empowerment; where learning occurs through collaboration, inquiry, exposure, discovery, and the use of best practices and research-based strategies and interventions.  P.S. duPont Middle School represents a culturally, racially, and academically diverse community of 6th through 8th grade learners.  Our goal is to embrace our similarities, respect our differences, and draw upon our strengths to promote equitable, relevant, and rich learning experiences for all students.  Our students, parents, and staff participate in the creation and maintenance of a peaceful environment where each person is treated with unconditional positive regard and acceptance.  Within such an environment, staff will flourish, and each student will be empowered and inspired to reach his or her full academic, social, emotional, and physical potential.  Together, we make our school a success!
