             This 2018-2019 school year, P.S. DuPont will be participating in a whole-school read again.  Students and staff will be reading The Crossover by Kwame Alexander.  It is a
    verse narrative that demonstrates the power of family and community.

    About Me

    My Education: MA Reading Wilmington University; Certification in Gifted Education Wilmington University; BSED English West Chester University
     
    My Experience: I am happy to say that this is my 11th year at P.S. duPont working in the areas of reading and English Language Arts.

    Personal Philosophy:  It is my belief that every student is an individual, and it is most important to meet students where they are.  My goal is to engage, motivate, and accelerate students so that they may become creative and critical thinkers and effective communicators.
     
    Personal Interests: My favorite thing to do is spend time with my two girls and husband. I love to read historical fiction and non-fiction. I also love  a great short story with a twist! Shakespeare is one of my favorite writers of all time. My family and I enjoy plays and Broadway shows, and I enjoy all areas of fitness and am a nationally certified personal trainer. Teaching is my passion and I thoroughly enjoy learning from students every year.
