• My Class Policies & Expectations

Students are expected to be in class with the appropriate materials each day. This consists of their science notebook, pencils,  and pens. Students will not be allowed to go back to their lockers to obtain any missing materials.

At the start of each day's lesson, students will be expected to copy down the Lesson Essential Question or the Problem of the Day within the first few minutes of the period.

Students are expected to work collaboratively with one another during lab assignments. This means that they will need to keep an open mind and an eagerness to be a part of a team effort when expected.

Bi-weekly quizzes will be given to assess key concepts that have been taught throughout the week. Major assessments will be given at the end of each of our major units this year.

Sometimes homework will be given and due the next day. This generally involves classwork that was not completed during the period that day. It is the expectation that the student will have it completed and in class the next day. If an assignment is not turned in, the student will receive zero points for the missing work. Details on this system are outlined on the syllabus.
