About Me
My Education:
M.Ed School Counseling, Wilmington University (2012)
BS Health & Physical Education, West Chester University (2009)
Minor in Health Education, West Chester University
PROUD product of the Brandywine School District, Concord High School (2005)
My Experience:
I was extremly blessed with the opportunity to start my professional career at Springer! I am pumped to be entering my 9th year as a professional educator. During my time here I have taught students from each grade level. In addition to my experience with teaching at Springer, I proudly hold the positions of varsity soccer coach (3 years/assistant 3 years), varsity basketball coach (5 years), head baseball coach (7 years); formerly assistant wrestling coach (6 years) and head tennis coach (1 year).
I have also worked with hundreds of our communities youth through the Brandywine branch of the Delaware YMCA, as the Leaders in Training unit director. During my 10 years I have had the privilege of working with young adults to grow as individuals and develop leadership qualities.
Favorite Quote:
"The expert in anything was once a beginner."
Teaching Philosophy: I feel that health & physical education plays a crucial role in the lives of everyone, at every stage. The health and fitness skills learned in PE will impact a long, happy and healthy life. I am a firm believer that knowledge is power. Once the students learn more information about sport specific skills and fitness information, they will be more confident to be active!
Personal Interests: I enjoy helping people, coaching and being athletic, beating Mr. Salvatore in disc golf and learning something new everyday.
