    The Board of Education of the Brandywine School District (BSD) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated educational leader experienced with the Delaware public education system to guide a diverse learning community committed to maximizing academic achievement for all students.
     
    The BSD assets include solid academic and extra-curricular programs as well as active parental/community involvement centered on a strategic vision that each student excel in the world community and develop a passion for life-long learning.
     
    The District serves approximately 10,100 students through the contributions of more than 1,200 school administrators, teachers and staff members. Located in the Wilmington metropolitan area, the District includes the northern sector of the city and its suburbs.
     
    The BSD has a strong statewide reputation for innovative curricula, a sustained commitment to professional development and sound financial management.
     
    District highlights include:
    • The only public school International Baccalaureate program in Delaware at all three levels
    • A self-contained gifted program in grades K-6 and expanding through grade 7 in 2009 and grade 8 in the 2010 school year
    • The only district in Delaware to have all three high schools make Newsweek’s Top High Schools in the Nation
    • All school buildings are recently modernized or approved for new construction
